Stream to CivicPlus Media and Facebook

Customers with CivicPlus Media can send a stream to Agenda and Meeting Management Select (formerly CivicClerk) and simultaneously send that stream to both CivicPlus Media and Facebook. This article will explain how to set up the integration, as well as how to manage the concurrent stream in CivicPlus Media.

 

Important Notes

  • You must have both CivicPlus Media and Facebook to use this feature.
  • To set up this integration, you must provide our Support team with login credentials for an individual's Facebook account that is an administrator for the Facebook page you wish to send the stream to.
  • Once this integration is set up, every time you send a stream to CivicPlus Media using a stream key that is integrated with Facebook, you will also send the stream to Facebook.

 

Set Up Simultaneous CivicPlus Media and Facebook Streaming

Note: We recommend that customers have multi-streaming enabled so that we can set up the Facebook stream to work for one or more of their available CivicPlus Media stream keys. You must contact Support to activate or disable multi-stream functionality.

To set up streaming to both CivicPlus Media and Facebook, you will need to contact Support and provide the following information:

  • Login credentials for an individual's Facebook account that is an administrator for the Facebook page you wish to send the stream to
    • If you are not comfortable sending these login credentials to us, Support can set up a Zoom call and let you type the credentials in yourself
  • A generic title and description for the live stream
    • The title and description provided will be used for all streamed meetings, so you will want to choose something generic that applies to all events
      • Example Title: Anytown Livestream
      • Example Description: Live events for the city of Anytown, Florida

 

Start and End a CivicPlus Media Event That is Streaming to Facebook

The process to start and end an event streaming to both CivicPlus Media and Facebook is identical to the process for streaming to CivicPlus Media only. For instructions on how to start and end a CivicPlus Media live stream, view our Set an Event to Live article.
