Overview
This process will show you how to Approve an item, as well as options to deny or send back the item to a previous approver.
Important Note
You must Start Approvals before approvers can approve or deny the item.
Instructions
- Navigate to the Meetings module
- Select the Agenda that the item is on
- Select the Item that needs approval
- Select View > Item Approvals
- If approval is not yet initiated, select Start Approvals
- If approval has already been initiated, select Initiated
- To complete approvals, select Take Action
- Fill out approval fields
- What do you want to do?: Choose to Approve, Deny, or Return to Creator
- Note: Return to Approver will be available if there are previous approvers.
- Notify Creator That Agenda Item Content Has Changed: Check if you wish to send a notification
- Message: Enter an approval message if desired
- What do you want to do?: Choose to Approve, Deny, or Return to Creator
- Select Save Approval to submit item approval
- Your Approval will now appear in the Visual Item Timeline
